Who are we?
Barley Greyhound Sanctuary is run by a committee of volunteers. We take in and look after Greyhounds from all over the UK and we find them their forever loving homes to enjoy their retirements in.

What do we do and why?
Here at Barley Greyhound Sanctuary we are a very close knit team of staff and volunteers. We all passionately believe that each and every Greyhound deserves a loving and secure life after racing.
We have been helping Greyhounds for 20 years and pride ourselves in finding the dogs the best homes possible and matching them to their adopters. All our dogs are neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, go home with collar & lead, house collar, muzzle, 4 weeks free insurance, information pack and a lifetime of support and back up should you ever need it. We carry out homechecks before allowing the Greyhounds to leave our care, this is nothing to worry about, we just like to make sure a Greyhound will fit into your home/lifestyle.
Greyhounds make the most amazing pets and there are so many looking for their forever homes in retirement. If you are thinking about offering a home to a dog please consider a Greyhound.

Events 2024
We will be holding/attending the following events in 2024
Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th May 2024. Open Weekend and plant sale at the kennels. 10am - 1pm both days.
Sunday 12th May 2024 - Meet and greet at Van Hage in Great Amwell.
Friday 17th, Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th May 2024 - Meet and greet at Pets at Home in Loughton.
Saturday 25th & Sunday 26th May 2024 - Hertfordshire Show at the Hertfordshire County Showground.
